Braves Option Dunn, Lyman To AAA

The Braves optioned two of their top pitching prospects, lefthander Michael Dunn and righthander Jeff Lyman, to the AAA Gwinnett Braves on Sunday.
Both pitchers pitched well this Spring, with the 24-year old Dunn notching a 1.42 ERA in six Grapefruit League appearances, and the 23-year old Lyman posting a 2.25 ERA in his four Spring appearances.
The Braves are a pitching-rich team, however, and the competition for the final two spots in Atlanta’s bullpen is extremely tight, so Dunn and Lyman will start the season with the AAA Gwinnett Braves.
